In St. Louis last evening, at a town hall meeting for Russ Carnahan, a man so stupid, if what I hear is true, that his iPod playlist consists of one track: A voice saying "Breathe in, Breathe out, Breathe in, Breathe out," violence erupted, with left wingers blaming the vast right wing conspiracy for "videotaping them," and involving the beating up of a poor defenseless black man.
Just one problem. That uppity
neeegro wasn't there to show support for Obama. He was there to pass out pins supporting tea parties, and flags saying "Don't Tread On Me." Yup, that's right. This boy didn't know his place, trying to show up the Obama administration. Who did he think he was? The attack that left him hospitalized was conducted by.. Want to guess? That's right, union members there in support of fascism and socialized medicine. Obama's union thugs beat the black out of him. Not that, according to most "civil rights" organizations, someone that conservative could actually have much black in him. He is obviously just a puppet for the right wing extremists.
.
There were a total of six people arrested, for the assault as well as other things, like this moron,
Brian Matthews, who gave this almost incoherent, and frankly idiotic rendition of his arrest, from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
"One of those arrested was Brian Matthews, 34, of St. Louis city, who works as a rehabber and previously worked on a campaign for a Texas statehouse candidate.
"I feel like it was a bull rush," Matthews said. "It all came from behind."
Matthews said he had been inside the forum because he is in favor of a public option for health care. He had attended with a friend, a 51-year-old woman. After it was over, they were walking outside and had a run-in with a man who was trying to videotape them. Matthews said that man from from the GOP. They reported the man to a police officer, who seemed uninterested, Matthews said.
As the pair walked to their car, they saw a man on the street who looks like he had been assaulted. Police surrounded him.
"My friend took pictures," Matthews said, "and an officer told her not to. She contested that."
Matthews said he and his friend walked away, arm in arm. The officer followed them, and Matthews friend exchanged words with the officer, Matthews said.
"I can't tell you how many police officers charged us from behind," Matthews said. "I was pushed to the ground by one. I was pushed into the back of somebody who was walking away."
Matthews said he was told he was arrested for interference. His friend was maced "after she was subdued by the police," Matthews said. She vomited on the side of the road, then later vomited more in the police car, he said."
Let me see if I got this straight, Mr. Matthews. There was a guy you tried to have arrested for taking video of you, then you got irked when a policeman told your girlfriend to move along instead of taking pictures of a guy beaten up in the street, so she mouthed off and the policeman took umbrage. Am I close? I bet Texas is glad to be rid of you. Of course, like your Mess-I-Uh, I don't have all the facts, but it appears you anted STUPIDLY.
Is this guy a raging paranoiac or what? "That guy was videotaping me for right wing propaganda, officer! Arrest him forthwith! Meanwhile, we're just going to take some pictures of this guy lying over here, bleeding in the street." How much you want to bet his girlfriend is Janeane Garofalo? If stupidity were a crime, she'd be riding old sparky, for sure.
And a note to Glenn Beck: When your enemy controls the media, any violence that occurs will be blamed on you, regardless of what actually happened. You might as well get your licks in while your there.
